Rains. Rainbows. Puddles

It is raining heavily here in Toronto today, and being a rain lover, I can’t help but get reminded of all the beautiful things that I associate rain with.

a) The puddles:

Ever seen a little kid who does not like to walk straight but jumps his/her way from puddle to puddle. I was that kid, always happy with rains, ready to run outside and put my jumping skills to test.

Puddles remind me of innocence, and carefree childhood. Something I yearn for today

b) Hot piping chai and Samosas:

Rains for me meant special food. The cardamom and ginger infused chai with oily and greasy lip smacking food. There was something about that cup of hot beverage and sounds of raindrops which would calm me always.

c) Paper boats:

Another favorite activity whenever it rained was making paper boats with newspaper and sailing them in rainwater. It would not last long but the joy of doing this with cousins and siblings brings such a nostalgia with rains.
